Locally based indie rockers Nemes are gearing up for a big local show this Friday @ Great Scott, and joining them on this odyssey will be none other than Georgia based folkies Family & Friends. You may remember them from the interview I did with them here on the site just a few weeks ago, which showed the band's true colors as a hilarious and well cohesive musical unit that melds up wonderfully with Nemes, who truly are finding their calling as a local band to be proud of. Violinist Josh Knowles contributes a great deal to the band's homegrown folk sound that couples together wonderfully with the already established indie minded aesthetic that allows the songs to have a harmonic balance and musical personality that is all its own. It's been awhile since I've seen them in concert, and it'll be great to catch them exposing their sounds to a frenetic and excited audience who loves them just as much as I do.
