Weymouth's pride and joy Pulitzer Prize Fighter are gearing up for their record release show this coming Sat. 1/7 @ Great Scott in the heart of Allston, and they won't be coming empty handed as they'll be bringing along Jack Romanov, Split/Halves, and Dionysia for what is sure to be an epic night of local music to welcome in the first weekend of the new year. The band just released their brand new EP "Everything That Makes You Tired" that has bolstered the profile of the fivesome who continue to evolve and hone their sound as the members get older and now have stronger of what their sound is and how to hone it moving forward. Pairing with another one of my local favs Jack Romanov is just icing on the cake, and adds to the allure of the lineup as a whole. Jack Romanov bears a lot of striking similarities to PPR as they're a band that always strives to evolve, and think outside of the box of what is expected of them and brings about a cathartic emotional release when they take the stage that usually results in bassist Esteban Cajigas taking off his shirt much to the delight of the crowd in attendance. An immensely satisfying night of live music that you will definitely not want to miss!
