Sacramento based experimental rockers A Lot Like Birds are gearing up to make their landing at the Mid East Upstairs on 5/11. If you're not familiar with these guys, they have an inventive, undefined sound to them that can't possibly be attached to one genre, and finds itself shooting at all across the musical spectrum to appease fans of all genres with something different each time. One can't help but to wonder what these guys sound live, but I have a feeling it will be even more impressive as advertised as the group are developing quite a following whom flocks to see the band anywhere they can. I really found my way with these guys, and they definitely have a way of capturing your attention with a particular melody or hook that reels you in and makes you feel like you're the central focal point. An immensely impressive and intriguing act that is worthy of experiencing in concert.
