Nashville based Ryan Harris Brown has just released his brand new LP titled "Stranded In The Past Tense". The album features a plethora of singer-songwriter tunes rendered within the country rock frame of mind that is reflective of Ryan's Nashville surroundings. Ryan has some connection to the Boston area as well where he went to school at Berklee College of Music, earning his stripes honing his craft and emerging as a musical tour de force capable of anything he can set his mind to. Ryan was first featured on the site almost 5 years ago, and I marveled at how unique he was and wasn't trying to emulate anyone in particular while performing, everything that you saw from him in concert or heard on record was Ryan's beautiful musical essence and personality that shines through brightly in his sound, and you'll definitely carve out a spot in your musical heart of Ryan's raw, potent, honest, and unflinching music that strikes an emotional nerve, and feels like that old friend you haven't seen in awhile just catching up on old times. An incredible effort from start to finish that needs to be added to your to-do pile.
