Originally from the brutal cold of Homer, Alaska but now living in Portland, OR comes the dark yet intriguing sounds of The Pacing Party, who has just released his brand new album simply titled "Fine". The dense darkness plagues the start of the effort, but after some time you immediately begin to feel at ease with his swell, comforting voice able to draw you to a medium comfort zone where you immediately begin to feel the brunt impact of his musicality. It took me awhile to find my way with The Pacing Party, but after time I gradually was able to find a sense of beauty and simplicity with his low key melodies that are peaking on the surface if you listen intently enough. While understandably this might not be everyone's cup of tea, there is something to be enjoyed that is just ripe for the picking if you listen carefully enough, and you'll begin to find a certain unheralded beauty that is just brimming in the distance, waiting for some unplucked listener to grab a hold of it and find some common ground with.
