With perpetual boredom settling in due to the pandemic, and with bands remaining dormant with no shows happening and are looking for something to do, look no further than the return of my annual "Bands of Summer" photo special! This year's special is bigger than ever, expanding from 2 to 3 editions happening on the weekends of Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day. Consistently getting bolder and more creative every year, bands are going out of their way to show off some skin to the adoring crowd and allows fans a perfect distraction during these challenging times. This contest is open up to all musicians regardless of location, and is open to non-musicians as well that will get special recognition as a honorable mention. Everyone is encouraged to be creative and go above and beyond to show off those shirtless bods! Here are the criteria for photo submissions:
- The pic must contain one or all members of the group appearing shirtless, whichever they feel comfortable with.
- Pics must show visible nudity below the shoulders, no headshots please.
- Artists are encouraged to be creative and find wacky elements when it comes to showing off nudity for the camera, make it fun!
Submit all photos to: musicboxpete@gmail.com. The deadline to get all submissions in for the remaining specials is Mon. Aug 31st, so free the nip and show off for the crowd that has been holed up for so long!
