Locally based grunge rockers Blackbutton have announced the forthcoming release of their final studio album "The Absence of the Other" and their last tour which will culminate in a closing event on 8/29 at Great Scott. The collection features songs that were written back in 2012, and has a darker complexity and musical progression that shows how far that the guys have come since their beginnings way back when. I've had the opportunity and privilege of knowing drummer Justin Shapiro for a few years now, and it's been a blast covering his various musical projects in some way, shape, or form here on the site and wish him and the rest of the band all the best in their future endeavors. This show promises to be an epic one for Blackbutton and all their devoted fans who have stuck around to watch the band evolve and transform into a collective of three friends who truly love playing with one another.
