Charlottesville, VA based Breakers have released their sophomore LP just last week titled "Rewrite". The band's sound veers towards the indie realm, but there are so many different twists and turns that it's hard to keep track of and melds influences from a host of different genres. The group consists of Lucas Brown on guitar and lead vocals, Vicente Arroyo on drums, Vince Tarrance on guitar, and Alex Angelich on bass and backing vocals. The collective do a great job of adhering to the script, and sticking to the music that they know best and attracts the attention of scores of new listeners in the process who will definitely be attracted to their sound. The group definitely hit the spot for me, and are one that have that splash of youth embedded within that will give the group some lasting power in the long run. A fresh and exciting group that is definitely worthy of exploring firsthand.
