Local Allston indie/garage mainstays Today Junior are gearing up for a local show happening on Thur. 5/9 at Deep Cuts in Medford alongside Blame Shifters and Cheer Camp. The trio are still riding high with the release of their self-titled album last year that was a hallmark and touchstone for the band that further elevated their sound, and exposed their talents to a far wider reaching audience than eber before. Brothers Mike and Harry O'Toole with Hannah alongside on bass are a formidable force in the scene, and they have been the one constant in my musical existence for as long as I can remember, dating back to when I first stumbled upon them at Copperfield's in 2014, and have become an integral part of my musical family. The band are fully ingrained in the local music scene, and am so grateful for all the blessings they have brought to my life. If you haven't yet experienced a Today Junior show, then it'd be worth your while to get an early start on the weekend and experience their sonic wonders firsthand.
