Boston's own alt-rock outfit Lurid Purple Flowers just dropped their latest single just last week titled "Addict". The song has a dark edged exterior to it, with strong vocal refrains and a retro early 90's twist to it that will have you on a high energy nostalgia trip. The group consists of CA Newcomb on vocals and guitar, Ben Caito on bass, and Nick White on drums. I featured them on the site once before, and also had the opportunity to interview them for my podcast as well last year, and I was tremendously impressed by their overall simplicity as a band at how they kept things easy to comprehend for the listener, and not have them to dig too deep looking for meaning. The song resonates strongly and speaks for itself right from the start, and it really makes you appreciate the band's immense talents that are just oozing out of the speakers. From CA's indelible vocals to Ben's genius bass licks and Nick's frenetic drums, this band has the complete package and are for sure the real deal.

You can check out "Addict" now streaming on all major platforms and for more on Lurid Purple Flowers, please give them a 'Like' on Facebook via this channel here, follow the group on Twitter right here, see their pics on Instagram at this perch here, and please visit their official website at this junction here for more in depth info surrounding them, including shows popping up in your hometown.
