Locally sourced right here in Boston comes the dynamic sounds of Kristian Montgomery and the Winterkill Band, whom have released their brand new album on New Years Day titled "A Heaven For Heretics". If you're not familiar with their sound, it's mostly reared within the indie realm with a strong alt-country twist that really jumps out at you and takes ahold of you right away. The band has been featured on the site before, and I really enjoyed how they were different from all the other acts out there, and provided with listeners a sound that we don't see much too often up here in the New England area. It definitely has a Southern rock appeal, but with a stronger emphasis being out on the lyrics if you listen intently enough, and having that heartfelt lyrical persuasion will make you a firm believer of their musical power and might that is just knocking on the door. A terrific effort that is worthy of delving into.
