From the midwest in Lawrence, KS comes the soul infused rock sounds of The Whips, whom have released their first new song to the public in 2 years titled "I'm Beggin'". The song has a mellow, easy going vibe to them that immediately dims the lights just a tad, and allows you to fall head over heels properly for these handsome and talented gentlemen. The band consists of Max Indeveri, Miles Patterson, Quinn Cosgrove, and Max Cooper. I stumbled across these guys randomly, and am so glad I did as they're creating some of the most potent and intriguing music out there right now. It has that aura of soul/R&B mixed in with some horns within that give it a sexy and sultry look that is best exemplified when you check these boys out in concert. They never take themselves too seriously, and they want to be intimately involved with you on a regular basis musically and I for one will be welcoming these boys onto my playlist any day of the week.
