Oceanside, CA based Joshua Bassett has just released his debut single to the world titled "Common Sense". The song is a mostly acoustic affair, with Josh's gorgeous vocals keeping you on your toes, and his lush, warm melodies having an immediate effect on you when you first start listening. At the ripe young age of 19, Josh has already accomplished more than most other singer-songwriters dare to dream of. You may also remember him from his time on the Disney TV show "High School Musical: The Musical The Series" where he melds his immense love of music in that role. What really spoke out to me about Josh was his overall simplicity that kept things stripped down to get a sense of who Josh is as a person, and how he uses his personality to have a direct impact on his listeners, and somehow indirectly influence something happening in their personal life. Having that kind of an impact on someone is what music is all about, and Josh is well on his way to achieving great success and making his name a hallmark in the music world. An immensely talented singer-songwriter that is gearing up for big success relatively soon.
