Somerville based Americana/folk duo Jake Swamp and The Pine have unearthed their brand new single out today titled "My Sister's Old Guitar". The song is a refreshing, cathartic track with down home rhythms that make you feel at ease right away with Drew's earthy and raw vocals having an immediate effect on you, and instantaneously jolts your consciousness and makes you intimately aware of your surroundings and where you are at this very moment. The guys have been featured on the site before, and I was immediately drawn to the guys with their no frills sound that is reminiscent of The Avett Brothers containing unique folk rhythms that are authentic and really takes you away from your current state and grounded into more realistic territory. Also coupled with Stuart's flannel shirt and Drew's rustic and handsome beard, this duo is the real deal and are poised to make a big impact this year and beyond.
