Local homegrown pop-punk act The Press War will be taking part in a big matinee show taking place this Sunday at The Middle East Upstairs. Joining them on the bill will be Baltimore's own Dreamcatcher, For The Year who will be playing their last show as a band, Silent Stories, and singer-songwriter Steve Knecht. The Press War have been of my favorite pickups from the local music scene as of late, with their explosive blend of pop-punk taking me back to the early 00's and reminiscent of bands such as Brand New with their ability to be unafraid of taking chances, and just letting the music speak for themselves. With the depth of talent present here, this is sure to be a terrific afternoon of music.
The show gets underway this Sunday, 1/25 at 1PM. Tickets are available for purchase at The Middle East's website right here and for more info on The Press War, 'Like' them on Facebook here and check out their tunes on Bandcamp right over here.
