Psych-soul masters Atlas Lab have unveiled their latest musical nugget ahead of their EP release on Jan. 22 titled "Wake Up Slow". The lush and intricate track contains some slight folk twinges, and also adds a plethora of influences and otherworldly delights direct to the arsenal that diversifies the sound to places never before dreamed up. I was floored and instantly hooked when I first heard these guys, and really latched onto their musical message that was clear from the moment I hit 'Play'. The members seem to have a strong musical bond attached deep within them, and they all have a deep affinity for music that reinforces that said bond, and allows them to be all on the same page musically and bring forth their immense love for music to an open and willing audience gathered forth in front of them. An immensely intriguing local act that is ready to make 2016 their year.
