Based out of San Francisco, singer-songwriter Andrew St. James is getting ready to make an appearance in the Boston area this coming Tuesday 1/19 at Cafe 939, just steps away from Berklee. The musician has been gaining a lot of press and momentum as of late, garnering comparisons to Jake Bugg and Bob Dylan with his raw and poignant voice channeling all sorts of emotions into listeners minds, while still retaining parts of his individual persona that make him stand out in the crowd. I was really impressed with what I heard from Andrew, and will definitely be looking forward to checking him out in concert when he rolls by. Cafe 939 is the perfect, intimate venue for him to get acquianted with Boston area concertgoers, and is definitely an artist you should check out beforehand to get a sense of what to expect if you plan on checking him in concert that evening.
