Locally grown psychedelic rockers Violet Intent are gearing for a record release performance this weekend @ Out of The Blue Too art gallery on Mass Ave. in Cambridge that promises to be an electrifying affair for fans looking to get their music fix on Easter weekend. The guys have a unique, stylistic garage/psych rock hybrid that has their own unique spin put on things for good measure and gives the surrounding musical textures a balance that will allow the listener to see the sounds that have made them who they are right now. I'm a relative newbie when it comes to their music, but the one thing that is their strong suit is their ability to find their own musical identity and niche that allows them to settle in and be a part of the music scene that is constantly ballooning at this very moment, and Violet Intent are very much a part of that charge that is getting ready to cause a ruckus about town.
