From the land of the Kentucky Derby comes the indie infused sounds of Quiet Hollers, who will be gracing the stage locally at the Midway Cafe in Jamaica Plain this coming Wednesday 5/18. The band have an intense, rhythmic style with eerie vocals and a strong sense of musical self worth that is evident when you check out their music for the first time. I highly recommend you check out their brand new single "Broken Guitar" that was just released earlier this week, featuring simple acoustic arrangements coupled with an aura of harmonic bliss that is a breath of fresh air that springs to life on contact and puts you in a positive spin and allows you to be acquainted with the group up close and personal. I was definitely intrigued with Quiet Hollers, and they most certainly have that Midas touch when it comes to affecting the listener on an emotional level that is the basic point of music and puts them on a clear laden path that has been set out right in front of them.
