Local Boston based folkies Stains of A Sunflower are part of a stacked lineup taking place this Fri. 7/1 at The Lilypad in Cambriidge with Atlas Lab and In Ivy in tow. Get the long 4th of July weekend started with some downhome folk music guaranteed to get you in the holiday spirit, along with some other acts to keep you occupied for the duration of the evening. Stains of A Sunflower have been featured on the site before, and I remarked at how they have a raw, potent dexterity to them that was unmatched and was only the beginning for this group that has a deep, emotional catharsis that is ever so growing and is really blossoming into something special. There is something about folk music that brings about the best in a person, and Stains of A Sunflower really have that ability to connect with the listener and make them feel like part of the song. A tremendous live act that is definitely worth your while.
