Local music blog Spark & Fizz has just released their "Revere Rock City" compilation to benefit music education in the area. More specifically, this collection is to benefit the Garfield Middle School's rock ensemble located right in Revere and all money raised from this compilation will go towards purchasing new instruments for the children currently enrolled in the program. Some artists that are featured on the compilation include And The Kids, Hallelujah The Hills, and Bent Shapes. Other goodies associated with the disc include: art designed by the students, a crossword puzzle, and exclusive articles about the local scene embedded within the packaging itself to provide for an eclectic compilation that provides much for the youth in our area. Since the Holidays are upon us, it's only appropriate that we get into a giving mood and give back to the community and since music education is a vital component of our local needs, the money towards the compilation will go a long way in ensuring that the kids have adequate instruments to provide for their artistic and creative endeavors.
To listen to the compilation, head on over to the Bandcamp site over here where you can purchase it digitally for $5 and physically for $10.
