Boston based indie rock sensations Oh Malo are gearing for a whopper of a local show happening next Tuesday 8/29 at the Mid East Upstairs alongside the likes of Bay Faction, Funeral Advantage, and Deep Secret. Oh Malo have been obsessions of mine over the last few years, with their brilliant and incendiary indie vibes permeating strongly throughout, and makes your heart beat ever more faster for these extraordinarily talented gentlemen. Their most recent LP, 2015's "As We Were" shows the beautiful musical majesty that the band have perfected during their time together. Frontman Brandon Hafetz has a lovely way of putting a song in perspective for the average listener to take hold of the beautiful melodies that are omnipresent throughout, along with guitarist Jack McLoughlin, bassist Jordan Langana, and drummer Isaac Wang to complement the existing soundwaves into something that is beautiful beyond comparison. This is the one band that I haven't seen live yet, and it will almost certainly be required viewing to check these gents out as they offer up musical desires that can only be adequately accomplished by these four extremely talented guys who have built up quite a local following and glowing reputation that is growing bigger by the wayside as we speak.
