Philly Based Beach Slang Slated To Play Solo Show @ Great Scott Wed. 7/11

Philadelphia's own James Alex, better known as Beach Slang is slated to play a solo show under the name Quiet Slang on Wednesday 7/11 @ Great Scott in Allston. For devoted fans of the outfit, this is sure to be quite a treat as you don't get to hear these songs in a stripped down fashion. Quiet Slang is more of a minimalist sound versus Beach Slang which has more distorted musical elements that caters to a specific audience. When you hear the Beach Slang tunes as Quiet Slang, you'll be stunned as to how beautiful and raw each track is unbuttoned from the top down, coupled with the haunting melodies and all that is left behind are the cello, piano, and his voice that will leave you positively stunned as to how majestic each track is. I'm not too familiar with his music, but I'm eager to hear the songs in a bare naked fashion that will allow the audience to see how beautiful and poetic James Alex truly is.

For more info on Thursday's show and to RSVP, click on the FB Event listing here and for more on Beach Slang, please 'Like' them on Facebook from this locale here, and keep an ear out for their debut album titled "Everything Matters But No One Is Listening" that will be out this Fri. 5/18.
