Based out of Lowell, Green Piece have released their brand new EP titled "Whatever". The three song effort does a great job of highlighting the band's musical diversity that is equal parts garage rock submerged within a strong musical framework that appeals to all listeners regardless of genre. It took me a couple of listens for me to fully enjoy this effort in order to take notice of all the musical bounties that were present, highlighted by the leadoff track "Stacy's Dad" that is a pungent musical concoction that will definitely throw you for a loop on first listen. Green Piece definitely have an acquired taste and the members Alura, Ally, Jeff, and Troy do a great job of feeding off each other's creative energy, and deriving a sense of enjoyment of what they're able to accomplish musically moving forward. A promising upstart act that I'll be keeping a watchful eye on.
