Allston Rock City's pride and joy Dead Trains make their long awaited return on Sat. 10/25 when they grace the stage at Midway Cafe in Jamaica Plain. The guys are legends here on the site having been featured multiple times over, with the band's trademark folk-punk sound that is equal parts riveting and mesmerizing. I've insanely loved the band from the start, and they've always been the most gracious dudes while chatting with them after a show, and delivering the goods each and every time on stage. When you experience their sound, you're introduced to frontman Matt Axten's gritty and ensnaring vocals, drummer Steve OIson and his beautiful, majestic beard flaying away as he pounds the drums into oblivion, and bassist Natan Keyes adding the groove laden hooks throughout each track via bass. There is nothing that is dull or unoriginal about these guys, they have a massive amount of appeal and know how to keep the fan's attention span all the way throughout. If you've never experienced a live Dead Trains show, please do yourself a favor and check these guys out, you won't regret it.
