Barnstable, MA based indie trio Melic Moon released their debut album just a few months ago called "Natural Thing". The band's sound has a soulful, jazz fused element to it that is really unique and grabs your attention immediately upon first listen. The group consists of Amalia Ververis on lead vocals, Mike Machaby on multi instruments, and David Ellis on drums. I thoroughly enjoyed the band's sound right from the start, and what I loved most about the band was that they kept it simple yet elegant for the passing listener to stop and take notice of the fresh rhythms that were omnipresent throughout. Even if you're not a fan of this genre, you'll definitely find something to appreciate from the group and what they bring to the musical table. With everything going on in the world right now, Melic Moon definitely have that midas touch to bring you out of the doldrums, and focus on the task at hand which is getting through this thing called life.
