Boston based indie duo Aaron and The Lord have unveiled their self-titled debut album to the masses today. The duo is comprised of two musicians with deep local ties: Aaron Perrino of The Sheila Divine and Steven Lord of Dirty Bangs. Tanya Donelly of Belly and Throwing Muses lends her vocal talents on 4 tracks from the album also. Their music is rooted deep within the indie realm, and provides for some comfort as we come out of the doldrums of this pandemic with some thought provoking musical precision that really cuts deep to the core, such as "This Love Ain't Dead" which is the first single released from the effort. I really found some musical comfort food with their sound, and they have a strong musical identity and self-worth, and plus they know who they want to be as musicians and what type of sound that they want to convey to their audience. Seeing as they've been around for a long time with their respective bands, I have a feeling that they'll both continue to add to their long and illustrious musical resumes with this well constructed effort. Definitely recommended if you're looking to add some new music to your arsenal.
