Boston based rock outfit Take Us Alive are gearing up for a big show happening this Sat. 1/18 at Thunder Road in Somerville alongside the likes of Trailerswift, Lily Bach, and The Rupert Selection. The band's sound is a straightforward, no holds barred blend of early 90's grunge rock influences mixed upon a more modern mindset that makes the songs sound relatable to today's standards, and makes the gents overall look aesthetically attractive from the audience's perspective. The band consists of Alex Nekrylau on lead vocals and guitar, Mike Mahalati on guitar, Chris Cucinotto on drums, and Carlos Soler Quiroga on bass. The guys have been featured on the site previously, and you may remember Chris from way back when from The Truezoos and Bomb Pilot and has been a great friend and brother to me over the years. With this new project, Chris's masterful and incendiary drum skills are clearly on display, coupled with the immense talents of everyone else in the band to create a dynamic outfit that is bound to leave an indelible impression on you by the time the performance has concluded. An exciting new act that you'll definitely want to dive head first into.
