Boston based alt-country outfit Kristian Montgomery and the Winterkill Band have finally unleashed their brand new album to the world today titled "Prince of Poverty". The album has an uplifting, hopeful characteristic to it that allows you to escape from the doldrums, and immediately into a bombastic paradise where all your worries disappear on a dime. I was immediately impressed with Kristian Winterkill right from the start, and they seem to have a stranglehold on the type of sound that they want to convey to their audience. It's great to see a band that are comfortable in their own shoes, and have a strong musical self-esteem as well that will set them apart from their contemporaries in the music scene. An incredibly promising, homegrown act that are definitely going to find a place in your heart right away.
