From Brunswick, ME comes the soothing sounds of Night Hawk, who are gearing up for an appearance in the Boston area on Sun. May 26th when they grace the stage at The Lilypad in Cambridge. The band’s sound is reared from a folk perspective with a strong indie twist that will rapture and ethrall you from the first note. I was completely floored the moment I heard them, and really fell hard for their beautiful and unadulterated sound. The band is lead by Colter Adams and Peyton Semjen, and they do a great job of building upon each other’s musical energy and talents, and ensuring that everyone else in the band is on the same musical page. There is a strong sense of melancholy within their music, but it doesn’t make you feel sad and instead it makes you feel hopeful and optimistic of what’s to come just around the bend. It will be even more musically potent when you check out their music in person to experience the full power of what they have to offer you.
