Chicago based indie rock outfit Pretoria elevate their musicality to new heights never seen before on their brand new single out to the world today called "Emerson, Everywhere". The song adds a wave of keyboard/piano melodies to the mix that are another feather in the cap for a band that have defined the indie rock aesthetic and what it means to be a successful indie band finding your own place in today's world. Frontman/bassist Rob Gullett's vocals reach deeper than ever before, and evokes a sense of calm confidence that shows how quickly their influence is taking shape and a hold of people everywhere. Drummer Ben DeWitt is the one solely responsible for his keyboard wizadry and adding a sense of dazzle and making the music have a massive sex appeal to the audience. Guitarists Matt Burdick and newcomer Trevor Sharnas are the backbone of the group and steer the musical ship to whichever direction it wants to go. I've been enthralled and madly in love with the group since 2019, and every single track that the band have put out have been masterclasses and there hasn't been one dull moment or one unoriginal track that they've put out. They are musical excellence to the utmost degree, and this song is just another pedestal in Pretoria's most impressive career thus far. This song is a definite must have for your summer playlists.
