Washington DC based indie collective The Colonies have released their brand new single today titled "Tough Lovin'". The song is an upbeat, melodic affair with pristine rhythms and a cohesive structure that really grabs your attention and keeps you occupied throughout the duration of the track. The group consists of Pete Stevens, Joey Mamlin, Jordan Mullaney, and Dylan Trupiano. You might remember these guys from a few months back when I posted about their prior effort "Bound To Be Something Good", and I remarked at how these guys were definitely going places and had a remarkable staying power that put them on a different pedestal than the other acts out there. With this new track, The Colonies have definitely proven their worth and are definitely going to break through in a big way this year with their youthful charm and remarkable talent that is apparent right from the start. An amazing track that definitely gets 2020 off to a roaring start.
