The 2026 FIFA World Cup begins on Thursday, and that means to get out your national team's jerseys, and bask in the glow of beers on the table and the sound of vuvuzelas in the air as the quest for the ultimate prize in soccer (or football) supremacy gets underway. Another component that doesn't get talked about much is the music as the tournament provides a cultural melting pot of sorts with music from an array of different countries that provides for a breadth of excitement and cultural pride that makes you appreciate other cultures that much more for what they bring to the table. So as you make arrangements to take some time off of work for the next month or so, here's a playlist personally curated by yours truly that shows the musical talents of some of the countries partaking in this year's World Cup.
