LA based Americana duo The HawtThorns are gearing up for a big local show happening this coming Monday 2/3, when they'll be performing at City Winery nestled right in the Haymarket area. Their sound is a pure, authentic blend of country tinged rhythms that jump out at you right from the onset, and really makes you feel comfortable and appreciative of the authenticity that the two display at any given time. Johnny and KP have a strong chemistry and a certain magic when they perform in which you can see the strong love and bond that they display on stage, and you can feel that same power through their music and learn how their sound has brought them closer together. I was totally enthralled when I stumbled upon their music, and they definitely have a sound that is true of who they are as musicians and as regular people. An extraordinary act that is worthy of checking out their full power on stage.
