Lowell's Pride and Joy Western Education Releases Highly Anticipated Sophomore Album "Millennial Youth" Today

Lowell based alt-electro outfit Western Education are back with their highly touted and much awaited sophomore release out to listeners today called "Millennial Youth". The effort picks up right where the first one left off, and sees the band continuing to up the ante with marvelously constructed guitar rhythms and a strong musical syncopation that can't be duplicated by any other local band out there today. I've been a huge Western Ed supporter right from the start, and these guys know how to play it straight up with their audience and deliver the music that only they know how to play. Frontman Greg Alexandropoulos has grown immensely as a frontman, and has grown more confident in his vocal abilities and stage presence that has worked wonders for him in the past. Guitarist Georgio Broufas adds a hard edged dexterity to the group, while bassist Will Hunt and drummer Devin Vaillancourt round out the core rhythmic backbone of the band. I'm thoroughly impressed with the musical direction and path they're taking, and this is a strong indicator that the band is in a much more comfortable spot than they were in several years ago.
