Nashville Based Henry Merit Returns To The Boston Area on Wed. 10/8 @ Summit Bound Outfitter in Somerville

ree

Haverhill, MA native and currently based in Nashville comes the emo-folk stylings of Henry Merit, who will be making his return to the Boston area this Wednesday, Oct. 8 for a secret pop up show at Summit Bound Outfitter in Somerville right in Union Square. Henry has made quite the transformation in his life within the past year, relocating to Nashville last summer where he has discovered who he really is as a musician and as a person, playing guitar for Jurana in her backing band while also still having an identiity as a solo artist. His latest single "Just Like That" that came out earlier this year shows his newfound sense of maturity after a case of unrequited love where he almost thought he had something, but it was just a fleeting glimpse of love just passing by. I've been a close friend and brother of his for several years now, and it amazes me with the transofrmation he has made as a musician who is dead set focused on becoming the best version of himself that can be. While he does have influences ranging from Elliott Smith to Bright Eyes, he's his own person and has found his true musical identity and who he is as a person that he has been searching for all this time. It'd definitely be worth your while to check him out in concert and experience his musical wisdom for yourself.

The show also features Allison Kussmann, Erik Barth, and Ash Sullivan along with the aforementioned Jurana. To RSVP for the show, click on this link here. It's a free show, and cash donations will be accepted at the door also. The address is 348 Somerville Ave. in Somerville.
