From the Granite State in Newmarket, NH comes the delightful and bombastic indie folk sounds of Sneaky Miles, who've released their brand new album to the masses yesterday titled "Dyin' And A Dream". The much anticipated release finally sees the light of day that sees the group working harder than ever before to fully realize their creative vision, and hone it out with more layered instrumentation and a strong emphasis being put on mood, comfort, and the ability to enjoy the album with the ones you care about the most. I've been lucky and fortunate to be close friends with the fellas for several years now, and they hit me like a ton of bricks upon first seeing them live at Summit Indie Fest with their pure and unadulterated indie folk sound captivating audience members one at a time. Their trademark and calling card has been vocalist Kevin O'Brien and his footstomp tambourine making an indelible impression on their fans. With their new album, the band adds a bevy of layered insrumentation since expanding from a trio to a five piece a few years back. The change has done wonders for the band with the group digging deeper than ever before, with more bombastic indie folk fare like "Chapel Door" and "Amber Brown", with the addition of a few more slower paced tunes like "Over and Over", my personal favorite track off the album and one that I hold near and dear to my heart. The guys have blossomed into a musical tour de force, and this effort is one is the crown jewel of their career so far.
