Irvine, CA's own Thrice are set to hit up Boston this weekend when they grace the stage at MGM Music Hall in Boston right near Fenway Park on Sat. 6/20 alongside Jimmy Eat World. The tour is in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of Jimmy Eat World's landmark 2001 album "Bleed American", and Thrice will be there opening the night and setting things in motion playing cuts from their latest album "Horizons/West" alongside some older cuts. Thrice have been a huge part of my upbringing with their 2003 LP "The Artist In The Ambulance" being a huge turning point in my life. I have seen the band numerous times in concert before, and they never cease to amaze me with frontman Dustin Kensrue's gritty and emotional vocals sending shivers down my spine. Drummer Riley Breckenridge's furious drum patterns setting the rhythmic balance ablaze alongside his brother Eddie manning the bass section. Lead guitarist Teppei Teranshi's hallmark guitar riffs are a critical element of the band, and provide much of the band's emotional firepower. Having a band of this caliber on this bill is a throwback to seeing all of the bands I adored in high school on one stage, and Thrice are forever a band that changed my outlook and perspective and one that I'll cherish for the rest of my life.

Tickets for this weekend's show at MGM Music Hall are sold out.
