Hailing from the land of cheese in Wisconsin comes the dynamic indie rock vibes of Horace Greene, who have released their summer primed anthem just last week titled "Cosmic Bodies". The song is a vivacious, bombastic tune with perky melodies and a non-stop melodic charge that elevates their sound right from the getgo, and doesn't let up right until the very end. The song also has some mellow moments that allow you to enjoy the vibe that much more with the ones you care about. The group consists of Anthony Oakley, Samuel Swetlik, Austin Gafner, and Brian Lucey. The band's sound is self-described as "powerlounge" which is left up to the interpretation of the listeners. Whether it's an amalgamation of indie/psychedelia influences or some other musical concoction, it's refreshing to hear a band describe their own sound with their own invented word. A lot of times bands and artists get pinned into a corner when it comes to describing their sound genrewise. It often results in artists get pigeonholed for what their sound represents, and often times bands want to break the mold and stand out from amongst the pack and that's exactly what Horace Greene are doing with their musical magic that they have cooking up right now. A delightful tune that is worthy of repeated listens all summer long.
