Boston based alt rock group Dionysus Park Ranger are prepping for their big album release show taking place next Friday, 9/4 at the Middle East Downstairs which just happens to be Labor Day weekend, so enjoy some time off with checking out this prime local collective in action! The band is based out of Bridgewater, MA and they have a sound that is hard to pin down genrewise, but it dabbles in the arenas of funk, world music, and even a little bit of jazz thrown in for good measure to balance the whole sound out. I knew very little about these guys coming in, now I'm extremely well versed in what their musical mission is, and will definitely be among those in attendance next week eager to hear these songs played out live to a captive audience.
Also performing at this show will be Birds of Spray, Dressed For The Occasion, Answerman, Hollywood Ghosts, and Brennan Leeds.
