Locally based americana group Dear June are gearing up for a big local show taking place this coming Thursday 8/18 when they kick off a mini tour at Cafe 939, just steps away from the famed Berklee College of Music. The group have a truly authentic, homegrown folk sound that is brimming with honest, heartfelt sincerity and a homespun mentality that you can feel in earnest as soon as the music starts playing. This was an immensely satisfying music experience for me, and it's almost as if I'm inviting them in my home for an exclusive, stripped down performance as I feel it's that intimate and exclusive. If you check out their studio vid for "Come Around", you'll see the group having the time of their lives and not needing to hide anything emotionally as the music speaks to the bevy of emotions going on within themselves the moment the performance is taking place. I definitely feel drawn to this group in some way, and they have definitely touched me musically and I will no doubt be at that show this coming Thursday to see how well it translates in a live setting.
