Top Songs of 2016

Continuing my year end rundown with a look back at some of the top songs of 2016. It was a diverse and entertaining year for music for sure, with Adele dominating the sonic landscape, Justin Bieber making a triumphant return, and amazing singer-songwriters such as Vance Joy and George Ezra begin to come into their own. The new-folk movement is also in dominant shape, with The Strumbellas and The Lumineers clearly in charge and in full throttle at this very moment. Newbies like the very handsome gents of Hippo Campus pictured directly above made their presence known, and are definitely poised to be a mainstay on people's playlists for years to come: Here is my playlist featuring the top songs of the past year:

Hippo Campus - Suicide Saturday

Viola Beach - Swings and Waterslides

Today Junior - Come of Age

Cold War Kids - First

The Avett Brothers - Ain't No Man
