NYC post-punkers The Fluids have released a haymaker of a tune in their brand new one "New Land Sale". The track is a noise fueled, experimental delight with waning guitar riffs juxtaposed on top of colorful rhythms that run all across the spectrum, and leave nothing to the imagination once all finished. I must admit that I had a hard time following the guys from the start, but I was able to settle in and enjoy the ride that the guys were putting me on from the start. The Fluids can best be described as noise rock created within the alt rock framework, but with the guy's own musical imaginations being put to use that shows what can be absorbed from such a diverse set of musicians. While this tune may not be for everyone, it's definitely worthy of exploring to see how the band came to these musical decisions, and how those choices may benefit the band in the long run moving forward. A terrific tune that definitely stands out from the pack on its own, and is a different breed of animal in of itself.
