Marshfield, MA based Nico Rivers is gearing for his album release show with his backing band The Black Grass this Friday 5/11 at The Mid East Upstairs in Cambridge. Nico has a phenomenal, breathtaking presence with his talent emerging strongly right off the bat as the aura and atmosphere begins to take shape right away. Nico's voice coos at you with the right cadence and diction as it becomes apparent that this group is not your average collective. There are elements of americana and indie rock mixed in together, but it's a concoction entirely of their own doing and leaves no stone unturned with its thunderous and rapturous melodies that each have an anthemic presence to the listener. I loved Nico's voice immediately from the start, and sets the stage for a big summer for the group with their new album "Tiny Death" in tow.
