Boston Indies New Dakotas Buddying Up w/ Jesse Denaro & Sam Gelston For 1/22 O'Brien's S

Boston based indle folk-popsters New Dakotas are gearing up for a big show in a couple of weeks on 1/22 alongside Jesse Denaro and Sam Gelston at O'Brien's in the heart of Allston. New Dakotas have been featured on the site a couple of times before, most recently having interviewed the gents for my podcast last year where they were tremendous and energetic individuals who have a real passion for their craft, and how to improve themselves along the way. The group consists of Alasdair McKenzie on drums and vocals, Chris Haley on guitars and vocals, Liz Kantor on synth bass, and Jake Stone on keys and vocals. The outfit formed when the members attended school together at Harvard, and from there they formed a musical bond that really shows when you see the group perform live for the first time. They have a real knack for being energetic, fun loving, goofy, and charismatic characters which are all the necessary components for a live act, and New Dakotas have definitely become just that, and you'll be fully acquainted with the collective by the end of their set. A refreshing local act that is most certainly worth your while.
