Boston native and Nashville based John Shakespear, whom you may remember from his prior outfit Atlas Lab, has released his brand new solo single just last week titled "Swinging For The Fences". In the video for this track, John dresses up in baseball gear that makes you appreciate the track that much more for its creative ingenuity and ability to keep the listeners' attention span focused squarely on John at all times. I was blown away by the concept for this video, and it does a great job of integrating the laid back and down tempo vibe of the song itself into a feel good sport like baseball with its tone and warmth grabbing your attention right away. John is an immensely talented individual, and I greatly appreciated what he did with his old group Atlas Lab and now with his solo material, he is able to step out on his own and find his true purpose and calling in life and reveal to everyone what a brilliant and charismatic person he is.
