Washington DC Based Indie Rockers The Colonies Are "Bound To Be Something Good" on New Alb

From our nation's capital in Washington DC comes the indie infused sounds of The Colonies, who have just released their brand new album last Friday titled "Bound To Be Something Good". The album's title is a harbinger of what is to come from these extremely talented gentlemen. The group consists of Pete Stevens, Joey Mamlin, Jordan Mullaney, and Dylan Trupiano. Their sound is a mixture of garage rock a la The Strokes, and some blues rock influences courtesy of The Black Keys that puts these guys in a totally different pantheon than their contemporaries. The first single "Luck" contains an amalgamation of everyone's influences, and presented on a musical canvas that makes it easier for the prospective listener to get a sense of what the musicians are like up close and personal. I was impressed with the band's resolve and musical capabilities, and they're definitely well suited for success later on down the road. A terrific upstart band that is worthy of taking a gander at.

To take a listen to "Luck", it's available on their Soundcloud page over here, and for more on The Colonies, please give them a 'Like' on Facebook via this perch here, follow them on Twitter right here, and peep their handsome mugs over on their Instagram feed at this spot here.
