Boston based psych rockers The Drunk Monkeys are gearing for a big show happening this Fri. 3/15 at The Plough and Stars in Cambridge. The group consists of James Clark on bass and electronics, Joe Froeber on vocals and guitar, Alec Hutson on saxophone, Jennifer Landi on vocals, and Eddie Scarsella on drums. The collective have a real diverse sound that is reared within their individual influences, along with a musical balance that puts everything in perspective for the listener checking them out for the first time. You may remember Alec from the write-up that I did on him here on the site a couple of months back, and their live set is definitely something to behold with the members usually wearing colorful attire, and drummer Eddie wearing a stylish vest showing off some exposed skin and chest hair that is definitely something to behold! Joining them for this musical odyssey will be Hope & Things, so definitely make it your goal to see this band live and help usher in the weekend in a big way.
