Washington, DC based indie quartet The Colonies are back on the beat with their brand new single out today called "Potomac". The song acts as a tribute to their hometown, with beautiful melodies and synchronized harmonies that act well with the meticulous instrumentation that shows how well in tune each of the band members are. The group consists of Pete Stevens, Joey Mamlin, Jordan Mullaney, and Dylan Trupiano. The guys were featured on the site previously, and I truly enjoyed the musical path that they were taking that definitely showcased a group that were morphing into something that is truly special and perfectly tuned to their talents. This new track builds upon the energy of their previous work, and seeks to elevate the guys to another plateau far beyond the confines of their hometown, and into a collective that is constantly finding new ways to elevate their craft. An amazingly talented group that is well worth diving head first into.
