2025 Bands of Summer 2 of 2

Wrapping up the summer the same way it began with another edition of MusicBoxPete's "Bands of Summer" shirtless photo special. While squeezing in those last moments of summer at the beach or firing up the grills one last time this Labor Day weekend, it's also a good time to kick back while showcasing a different side of musicians we've never seen before that makes you appreciate the musicians that much more for bringing out a different facet of their personality and a fun, light-hearted way to showcase who they are as a musician and as a person. This year's lineup to round out the summer includes country/grunge newcomer Cole Barnhill, drumming phenom Nick Lewert, budding country superstar Warren Zeiders, and a special honorable non-musical entry from the Chelmsford High School hockey team. And to close out the summer, here is this year's lineup.

Cole Barnhill

Returning to the fold this year after appearing last year is Texas based hybrid rocker Cole Barnhill. Cole's music has an interesting country/grunge texture to it with Cole's voice echoing 90's rockers Nirvana and Stone Temple Pilots with a strong and interesting twist that puts listeners into a frenzy whenever they hear his music. One thing that is a constant at all his shows is his performing shirtless that gets the audience into the groove, and makes sure they always coming back for more with a mandated emphasis being put on his allure that keeps eyes fixated on him at all times. He's a unique and captivating presence, and there's no turning away from this burgeoning talent.

Nick Lewert

Making his debut on the special is Florida based drumming phenom Nick Lewert. Nick spends a majority of his time behind the kit of the hard rock outfit Games We Play, but is also a session musician frequently filling in when needed. His style fits his personality as a frenetic, no rules philosophy that comes in handy whenever playing a show, attracting legions of followers and worshippers in the process. There is also a different side to him as you can see from this incredible pic above that shows how beautiful and attractive he is and one that oozes confidence and charisma, and makes him stand out immensely from the other up and coming drummers out there today.

Warren Zeiders

Also making his debut on the list is Hershey, PA based country star Warren Zeiders. Warren has been fast on the rise over the last year or so, constantly selling out shows left and right that have made him a hot commodity for his music and swooning good looks. One thing that he exhibits every chance he gets is his extraordinary physique that you can clearly grasp from the pic above. His body is beyond ripped that makes the female fans howl whenever they see him live, and generates a huge amount of buzz that Warren lives off of and thrives from. He is virtually inescapable and knows what flips the switch of fans and is more than eager to deliver the goods any way he knows how.

Potionseller

Another newbie making their first entry on the list is Grand Rapids, MI based emo-rock outfit Potionseller. The band have just wrapped up a summer tour that saw them play a variety of venues big or small that provided ample opprotunity for an audience to find some comfort with, and discover some incredible new music in the process as well. With the temperatures amped up in some of the concert halls, half of the band decided to forgo the shirts and connect deeper with the audience in this pic you see directly above. The band are very keen on knowing what works and how to best grab the attention of the audience and feed in to their energy. By taking the shirt off you're only doing what feels right and matching the tempo of what's currently going on in the room.

Big Thief

Brooklyn, NY based folk rock quartet Big Thief also looms large in this year's special. The group may not be your radar just yet, but they are definitely worth checking out as they have some delightful tunes and an otherworldly vibe that is equal parts mystifying yet endearing at the same time. The band always has something unexpected up their sleeve, including this pic that you see above that shows the band bearing some skin along with some of their instruments in tow. The band know of clever ways to make the audience feel right at home, and they certainly know how to entertain and enthrall at the same time that will keep fans coming back for their music in droves.

Chelmsford High School Boys Hockey Team

For this year's honorable non-music mention, we keep it local with an entry from the Chelmsford High School boys hockey team. During this time of year, many high school and college hockey teams are preparing for the upcoming season, most of them enduring grueling training regimens consisting of strength & endurance sessions that seek to test their willpower, and increase their muscle mass at the same time. One intense session occurred for the boys of the Chelmsford High School boys hockey team as the Army National Guard branch in Lowell came in to give them a grueling training exercise that was full of burpees, jumping, strength and agility, along with plenty of exhaustion. But it was most fulfilling in the long run as you can tell from this group pic that the boys took afterwards showing the hard work that they all put in. It also shows how fearless and dedicated they are to their craft as they look to have a strong season under their belt.
